About Us

Love Dalias Namibia grew out of flowers, friendship, and a shared belief that more people in Namibia should have access to beautiful, locally grown dahlia tubers.

The story began when Carola Tietz, who farms flowers on a small scale between Okahandja and Windhoek, visited the Love Dahlias Festival in Douglas, South Africa. What started as a festival visit quickly became something more meaningful, a meeting of minds between people who love flowers, value beauty, and understand the joy that grows when gardeners and growers come together.

Out of that visit, a collaboration was born.

We had been looking at Namibia for some time, knowing there was a real shortage of dahlias and very little local availability for gardeners wanting to grow them. After connecting with Carola and seeing her passion for flowers and her local growing conditions, it became clear that this was the right way forward: to bring Namibian grown dahlia tubers into the market for Namibian gardeners.

That is how Love Dalias Namibia began — rooted in collaboration, shared excitement, and the dream of making dahlias more accessible in Namibia.

This project is also a reminder of how special the flower community really is. It is generous, creative, encouraging, and full of people who are willing to share knowledge, cheer one another on, and help something beautiful take root. Time and again, flowers bring the right people together, and this is one of those stories.

At Love Dalias Namibia, we are proud to offer dahlia tubers grown in Namibia, in Namibian soil, for local gardeners. It is the beginning of a new chapter, and we are so excited to share it.
